3 Affordable Laptops

There are definitely a lot of choices on the market in terms of laptop computers. Whether you want to buy one for gaming, personal use, work or internet browsing you certainly have where to pick from. The problem is, many don't know how to choose the best laptop for their needs and also, for some, price can be an issue.

So what do you do when you have a fairly limited budget but want to buy a laptop that suits your needs? Here are 3 affordable laptops with decent performance for their price range:

1. Acer Aspire One AOA150-1635

This 8.9 inch notebook comes with an Inter Atom processor at 1.6 GHz, a great looking display with vibrant and bright colors, 1 GB of RAM and a hard drive with enough storing space at 160 GB.

Another asset this laptop has is battery durability, with a 3 cell battery that can last up to three hours. For the price of just $299.0, this notebook can be a good and affordable choice considering it's very light at just 2.4 pounds, it has a decent technical configuration, and also includes 3 USB ports, card reader and comes pre-installed with Windows XP Home Edition.

A down side of the Acer Aspire One can be the lack of CD/DVD drive and the fact that the screen is a little too small and may take time getting used to. Other than that, it is a good choice for internet browsing, watching movies, listening to music and even for work, depending on your needs.

2. ASUS Eee PC 1000HE

It comes with an Atom processor at 1.6 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 160 GB hard drive, the same as the Aspire One. It is a little heavier at 3.2 pounds but it is understandable as this one has a 10 inch screen, and talking about the screen, it looks great and also has an excellent viewing angle. This comes with high connectivity capabilities with Wi-Fi 802.11n, and a 6 cell battery pack that can last up to 9 hours of use, which is simply amazing. Also, a 10GB Eee Storage with easy accessibility anywhere online is included.

A few cons that I could find are the speakers which are a little too low on volume and the maximum resolution of just 1024 x 600, but overall this is another good notebook in this price range, and it can be used for playing some games even though not fairly new ones, internet browsing, managing work projects and good media capabilities. At just $389.0 it is a bargain.

3. Samsung NC10-14GB

This is my third choice in this category and of course, there are some similarities between the 3 notebooks, and some differences. This one is a very speedy computer with an Intel Atom processor at 1.6 GHz, 1 GB of RAM DDR2 and 160 GB storage space. Heard that before right? It has a great looking design, with a 10.2 inch screen with a beautiful display and comes with a pre-installed Windows XP Home Edition with SP3. Good connectivity with 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 and again, a 6 cell battery that can last up to 8 hours. It boots very fast and it is pretty light at 2.8 pounds, even lighter than the Asus Eee. Again, the maximum resolution is just 1024x600 but it gets the job done.

One con that I could find is the fact that the touch pad is a little too small, so you may have to get used to it or use a regular mouse. This one costs $419.95 and is also a good choice in this price range.

These are all good choices for general use when buying an affordable notebook, and it comes down to you to pick the one that suits you best.
